$53.8K – $86.4K a year 21 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Writing skills Mid-level Litigation Analysis skills Bar 2 years Communication skills Negotiation Bankruptcy Full Job Description Smith Debnam (www.smithdebnamlaw.com) is seeking a full-time litigation associate with experience in creditors’ rights to assist with its foreclosure, consumer finance litigation, and bankruptcy practices in our Raleigh, NC office. The following are pre-requisites for this position: Two years’ experience in some mix of the above listed practice areas Prior experience Worked in a private litigation practice, with an understanding of the business aspects of managing a law practice NC Bar license in good standing Strong legal analysis and writing skills Strong courtroom presence and desire to develop a civil litigation practice Strong communication and negotiation skills Self-motivated, including desire and ability to market his/her practice Working in an in-office environment An ideal candidate will have: 2-4 years’ litigation experience representing companies and/or financial institutions in state and federal court (both district and bankruptcy) regarding contracts, loan agreements, mortgages and leases Outstanding written and oral communication skills Admitted to North Carolina’s Federal Courts SC Bar license in good standing Smith Debnam has been providing legal services to businesses and individuals in the Carolinas for 50 years.
