Position Purpose The Associate General Counsel and Director for Real Estate Transactions will provide broadbased real estate law counseling advice regarding all aspects of Dartmouth’s real estate portfolio and will play a key role in identifying, developing, and providing financial analysis of real estate development opportunities to achieve the College’s strategic goals. The position reports to the AVP of Real Estate and Special Counsel and ultimately to the General Counsel as a member of the Office of the General Counsel team. Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic credentials
JD from nationally recognized law school with excellent academic credentials
Ten years of experience in real estate law
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in real estate investment, development, asset management, or private equity.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting skills.
Indepth knowledge of various real estate asset classes.
Knowledge of higher education real estate strategies. Preferred Qualifications Excellent interpersonal communications skills and positive, collaborative working style.
Ability to relate well to diverse group of constituents and to build strong relationships within and among those groups
Possesses an innovative and strategic approach to problem solving
