Family Law Attorney TalentSearch RPO Hackensack, NJ Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law and be proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. This role involves supporting attorneys in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and estate planning, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures. Responsibilities Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests related to family law cases. Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case preparation and strategy. Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring all materials are current and accessible. Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case status, and schedule appointments. Draft correspondence and communicate with opposing counsel as directed by attorneys. Stay informed about changes in family law regulations and procedures to ensure compliance. Support the team with additional tasks related to personal injury law, patent law, environmental law, or tribal law regulations as needed. Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a law office setting, specifically focusing on family law is preferred. Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential. Familiarity with estate planning processes is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for effective client interaction and document preparation. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
