The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and possess the ability to navigate complex legal issues related to commercial property transactions. This role requires excellent research skills, a solid understanding of environmental law, and the capacity to litigate when necessary. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, providing expert legal advice and representation in various real estate matters. Duties Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, and financing. Conduct thorough research on relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial properties. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental law and tribal law regulations. Represent clients in litigation matters related to real estate disputes. Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm on complex cases involving patent law or workers compensation law as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in real estate law. Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in commercial real estate law or a related field. Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research platforms like Westlaw. Knowledge of environmental law, workers compensation law, family law, tribal law regulations, and patent law is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
