This role requires deep experience in fiduciary taxation, strong technical capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will bring sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and strategic tax services. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review complex federal and state tax filings, including: Form 1041 (Trusts and Estates) Form 1040 (Individual) Form 990-PF (Private Foundations) Form 5227, 1120-S, and related schedules Review trust documents and wills to determine distribution terms and filing obligations Manage responses to IRS and state tax notices Oversee quarterly estimates, extensions, and annual planning engagements Coordinate with attorneys, trust officers, and client advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance Conduct tax research and document positions related to fiduciary issues Remain current with tax laws and apply changes proactively Qualifications 10+ years of experience in fiduciary and high-level individual tax work Proficiency in trust and estate taxation, with experience reviewing trust documents and compliance requirements Strong knowledge of tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or equivalent Excellent attention to detail and client communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios independently CPA preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) also considered
