Overview:

A reputable law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Attorney with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in either Commercial Litigation or Commercial Transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, a strong command of legal principles governing complex business matters, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to sophisticated clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent corporate clients in business-related disputes, including breach of contract, shareholder issues, and trade matters (if litigation-focused)
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, vendor contracts, and licensing deals (if transactions-focused)
Provide proactive legal counsel on operational and transactional risks
Collaborate with in-house counsel, executives, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives
Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes impacting commercial law
Participate in dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation and arbitration, where applicable

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in NY and strong preference for NJ Bar admission
Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience in either Commercial Litigation or Commercial Transactions
Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage multiple client matters with professionalism and attention to detail
Excellent communication and business acumen

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting mid-sized to large businesses across diverse industries
Familiarity with cross-border transactions or multi-jurisdictional disputes
Prior law firm or corporate legal department experience
