Job Details Our client is seeking ahighly skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join ourdynamic team in North Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess astrong background in family, matrimonial, and divorce law, withsignificant experience in litigation support, electronic filing,and e-discovery. This role requires a proactive and detail-orientedindividual with excellent organizational, communication, andtechnical skills to provide comprehensive support to our attorneysand clients.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive paralegalsupport to attorneys practicing in family, matrimonial, and divorcelaw. Manage and organize case files, both physical and electronic,ensuring all documents are accurately maintained and readilyaccessible. Conduct thorough factual and legal research utilizingvarious resources. Draft, prepare, and proofread legal documents,including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses,settlement agreements, and financial statements. Manage all aspectsof the discovery process, including document collection, review,production, and the use of e-discovery platforms. Proficientlyhandle electronic filing (E-filing) procedures in New Jersey stateand federal courts. Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and othermaterials for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.

Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, courtpersonnel, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legalmatters. Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations,and court appearances. Maintain attorney calendars and trackcritical deadlines. Assist attorneys in trial preparation,including organizing exhibits, witness files, and coordinatinglogistics. Review and summarize deposition and hearing transcripts.

Manage and analyze financial documents related to divorce cases,including asset valuation and income analysis. Assist with thepreparation of Case Information Statements (CIS) and other requiredfinancial disclosures. Utilize and maintain case managementsoftware effectively. Adhere to all ethical guidelines and maintainclient confidentiality. Perform other paralegal duties as assignedto support the efficient operation of the family law practice.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required. Minimum oftwo (2) years of recent and direct experience working as aparalegal in a litigation-focused family, matrimonial, and divorcelaw practice. Demonstrated proficiency in electronic filing(E-filing) procedures in New Jersey state courts is essential.

Proven experience with e-discovery processes and platforms.

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and case managementsoftware. Strong organizational skills with the ability toprioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain meticulousattention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectivelywith a diverse group of individuals. Ability to work independently,take initiative, and problem-solve effectively. Strongunderstanding of legal terminology, court rules, and proceduresspecific to family law in New Jersey.
