The Senior Coverage Director depending in the Coverage andComplex Claim Department will have responsibility for management ofan inventory of casualty claims with complex coverage issues, LongTail Exposure (LTE) claims which are claims occurring over multiplepolicy periods and/or class action litigation. Claims handled inthis role could include, but are not limited to, concussion/headinjury, abuse and molestation, chemical/toxic/environmentalexposures and claims potentially triggering the Personal andAdvertising Injury coverage grant of Commercial GeneralLiability/Umbrella/Excess coverage. Responsibilities may alsoinclude management of coverage litigation and arbitration inconnection with the above-described claims. Such responsibilitieswill entail management of outside counsel with respect to defenseof Chubb in designated coverage disputes; management and oversightof all aspects of coverage litigation, including development oflitigation and resolution strategies; management of discoveryrequests; attendance at depositions, mediations and trials, asnecessary. The ideal candidate will have 7 or more years ofexperience as a lawyer and/or claim professional with a high degreeof specialized and technical competence in litigation managementand the handling of complex coverage issues, high exposure and/orlong-term exposure claims and coverage litigation. A law degree isrequired.

- Excellent organizational,writing, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and will be able to work withclients and business partners in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex operating environment.
- Ability to work independently, issue spot, and assimilate learningmaterials on many different subjects from various sources.
- Experience in senior management reporting.
- If you do not alreadyhave one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident ordesignated home state adjusters license and possibly additionalstate licensure.
The pay range for the role is $110,800 to$188,400. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skillsand other factors.
