Are you ready to realize your potential? ThePosition Provide legal counsel to global healthcare company onrelevant issues involving application of U.S. law, regulations, andindustry standards. Relationships Acts as Counsel on the ClinicalCommercial and Corporate Law team. Interacts with departmentcolleagues and individuals in other NNI departments, including butnot limited to Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, CommercialOperations, and Ethics, Compliance & Privacy. May interact withgovernment agencies, law firms, trade organizations and otherexternal agencies. Reports to a Managing Assistant General Counsel.
Essential Functions In collaboration with other attorneys, servesas a legal advisor for assigned functions to help appropriatelyshape and execute strategy, objectives, and initiatives Work withother attorneys and stakeholders to advise on cross-functionalinitiatives including promotional and other material reviewcommittees Additional areas of responsibilities may include, butare not limited to: Flexibly supporting different teams, brands,and functional areas in response to evolving business needsProviding timely, practical and compliant solutions for a widerange of commercial legal issues while effectively managing risksIdentifying new laws, regulations and industry trends affecting thecompany and assist with development of policies and training asneeded Advising on interactions with health care providers,patients, and payors in compliance with fraud and abuse laws suchas the U.S. Anti-Kickback Statute and industry codes, such as thePhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Providers Participatingin product lifecycle planning Drafting, reviewing, and negotiatingcontracts Performing other duties as assigned Physical Requirements0-10% overnight travel required. Qualifications A J.D. is required.
NJ bar admission or ability to obtain limited in-house counsellicense required. Candidates with experience counseling related totelehealth are preferred. 4 years of legal experience preferredsome of which must have been spent working in at least one of thefollowing: At the FDA Supporting the pharmaceutical sector Productliability litigation Candidates with prior experience withpharmaceutical product liability defense or enforcement litigationare preferred Additional experience within thehealthcare/pharmaceutical industry (including experience with FDA,advertising and promotion, anti-kickback, antitrust, privacy)preferred though not required Strong problem-solving skills -demonstrates and exercises creativity and initiative Strong writtenand verbal communications skills – able to effectively collaborateand communicate with other client groups within the company Thebase compensation range for this position is $ 116,810 to $216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number offactors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus basedon individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offerslong-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles dependingon the position’s level or other company factors.
