Staff Attorney, Workers Compensation Claims Position Available In Morris, New Jersey

At NJM, we prioritize applicants looking to learn, collaborate and support our policyholders. We are seeking an attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation legal team with 0-3 years of workers’ compensation or other litigation experience to defend formal claims venued in northern New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities:

Defend the interests of NJM policyholders in New Jersey workers’ compensation court through the point of settlement or decision Work with staff in the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents Provide case recommendations, updates, and analysis to clients and internal Workers’ Compensation Claims staff Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

0-3 years of prior litigation or legal experience. Workers’ compensation and/or personal injury litigation experience is a plus. Currently licensed to practice law in NJ Analytical ability and strong attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong negotiation, communication and legal research skills Ability to travel within the state and cover multiple counties

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range:

$100,226-$113,404 Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
