Book of Business Job Details JobDetails:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivatedEmployee Benefits Partner with a strong background in EmployeeBenefits Law that ideally has a Book of Business . This is a uniqueopportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ourlegal department. The successful candidate will be responsible formanaging a diverse range of employee benefits matters and will workclosely with different teams to ensure our company’s compliancewith various laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Provide legaladvice and guidance on the design, implementation, and operation ofvarious employee benefit plans, including retirement, health, andwelfare plans. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws andregulations, including

ERISA, IRS

code, and employee retirementincome security. Assist with business formation, shareholderagreements, M&A, and other corporate transactions. Advise oncomplex issues related to 409A, 280G, equity compensation, proxyreview, securities law, and benefit law. Develop and implementpolicies and procedures to ensure that our company’s employeebenefits plans are compliant, competitive, and cost-effective.

Represent the company in any legal proceedings related to employeebenefits. Collaborate with other departments, including HR,Finance, and Compliance, to ensure a holistic approach to employeebenefits. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that mayaffect the company’s employee benefits plans and recommendappropriate actions.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate from anaccredited law school. Must be a member in NY and good standingwith the State Bar. Minimum of 10 years of experience in employeebenefits law, preferably in a corporate setting or law firm.

In-depth knowledge of

ERISA, IRS

code, and other relevant laws andregulations. Experience with business formation, shareholderagreements, M&A, 409A, 280G, equity compensation, proxy review,securities law, and benefit law. Excellent analytical,problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong written andverbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complexlegal concepts to non-legal individuals. Ability to manage multipleprojects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. High level ofprofessionalism and integrity.
