Job Description A vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm with over 115 attorneys is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its Transportation Department in Brooklyn, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney looking to grow their litigation skills in insurance defense, with a particular focus on New York No-Fault claims. Key Responsibilities
Handle litigation matters related to insurance defense, no-fault claims, and transportation-related disputes
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery demands
Conduct legal research and analysis
Take and defend depositions
Appear regularly in court for conferences, oral arguments, and hearings
Manage cases from inception through trial and potential appeal
Maintain timely and clear communication with clients, court personnel, and adversaries
Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members in a supportive, collegial environment

Qualifications:

JD from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in New York (pending admission acceptable)
Admission in New Jersey is a plus, but not required
1-3 years of litigation experience, ideally in:
Insurance defense
No-fault claims
Transportation-related disputes
Ability to handle files independently and assume direct client responsibilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Strong oral and written advocacy skills (writing sample required before interviews)
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with professionals at all levels
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
