Role Overview We seek a pragmatic, solutions-oriented attorney with expertise in business/contract law , real estate/construction law , and/or healthcare/medical aesthetics law . You will provide strategic legal guidance across all business verticals, draft and negotiate high-stakes agreements, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate risk in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities Transactional & Contract Law:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (e.g., vendor agreements, leases, joint ventures, service contracts, NDAs). Advise on corporate governance, entity formation, M&A, and investment structures. Manage franchise agreements (if applicable) and licensing for restaurants/spas.
Real Estate & Construction Law:
Oversee property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, zoning, and land use. Manage construction contracts, contractor disputes, liens, permitting, and OSHA compliance. Resolve landlord-tenant issues and property management conflicts.
Healthcare & Medical Aesthetics Law:
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, state medical boards). Advise on patient consent, liability, clinical protocols, and provider licensing. Navigate advertising restrictions, data privacy, and medical device regulations.
Regulatory & Risk Management:
Monitor industry-specific regulations (e.g., spa safety, restaurant liquor licensing, building codes). Develop compliance programs, policies, and employee training. Manage litigation, disputes, insurance claims, and outside counsel.
Strategic Advisory:
Partner with HR on employment law, IP matters, and corporate policies. Support cross-departmental initiatives (e.g., new market entry, partnerships).
Qualifications Required:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in NY state. Legal experience (law firm or in-house) in business law , real estate/construction law , healthcare law , or a combination. Proven expertise in drafting complex contracts and managing regulatory compliance. Ability to translate legal advice into actionable business solutions.
Highly Preferred:
Experience in medical aesthetics , spa/wellness , restaurant/hospitality , or real estate development . Knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., corporate practice of medicine, HIPAA). Familiarity with construction defects, permitting, and lien laws. Experience with investment management structures (e.g., funds, joint ventures).
