Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated medical malpractice Litigation Associate to join a boutique law firm located in New York, New York. This role is ideal for someone with strong courtroom presence, exceptional writing skills, and a passion for advocacy. Candidates should have a proven track record in litigation and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft compelling legal documents, including motions and briefs, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including arguing motions and attending hearings.
  • Conduct depositions effectively to gather critical information for cases.
  • Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, coordinating witnesses, and developing case strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure successful outcomes for clients in personal injury or medical malpractice cases.
  • Analyze case details and develop innovative legal strategies to address client needs.
  • Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the litigation process.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal developments and best practices in personal injury and medical malpractice law. Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or medical malpractice.
  • Proficiency in conducting depositions and preparing for court proceedings.
  • Demonstrated ability to argue motions confidently in court.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with a focus on drafting persuasive legal documents.
  • Experience in trial preparation, including evidence organization and witness coordination.
  • Familiarity with medical malpractice cases, either on the plaintiff or defense side, is a plus.
  • Trial experience as first or second chair is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
