Attorney/Lawyer (Employment Litigation) Position Available In New York, New York

Description We are looking for a skilled Attorney with expertise in employment litigation to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a boutique employment law firm located in New York, New York, handling diverse cases and providing strategic legal counsel. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in defending against employment-related claims, advising clients on compliance, and navigating complex legal disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in employment-related litigation cases, including wrongful termination, wage disputes, and discrimination claims.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide clients with well-informed guidance.
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution processes.
• Advise employers on risk mitigation strategies and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to develop effective case strategies and solutions.
• Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met in a timely and organized manner.
• Provide legal counsel on employment policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay updated on changes in employment law and incorporate them into client strategies. Requirements
• Licensed attorney with active NY and NJ Bar membership.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation, including defending against various employment-related claims.
• Strong drafting skills with the ability to create clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Proven ability to conduct detailed legal research and apply findings effectively.
• Experience in mediations, arbitrations, and dispute resolution processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and courtroom presentations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Immediate availability to begin work and contribute to the firm’s growing caseload.
