Position Summary
As an Insurance Defense Attorney, you will handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, primarily focusing on insurance defense. This role requires a candidate with sharp litigation skills, a proactive approach to case management, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations.
Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients.
Build strong relationships with clients and effectively communicate case updates.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective case resolution.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the state of New York (in good standing).
5+ years of experience in insurance defense preferred.
Strong trial preparation and courtroom experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases.
