This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who excels in high-level advocacy and wants consistent, impactful work.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an attorney to handle a wide range of immigration appellate matters, including: Drafting and litigating appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Preparing petitions for review and briefs to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Filing mandamus actions and habeas corpus petitions in federal court, particularly for prolonged or unjust detention Preparing and filing motions to reopen, including in absentia, sua sponte, and Lozada-based claims Occasionally meeting at our Queens office to review files or meet with clients as needed

Qualifications:
J.D. and admission to a state bar in good standing (New York preferred) Must have an active EOIR attorney ID Minimum 2 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on appeals and litigation Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Familiarity with EOIR, BIA, PACER/CM-ECF, and Second Circuit procedures

Work is primarily remote Preference for candidates based near Queens, NY who can meet in person when needed
