Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will beresponsible for handling a diverse portfolio of commerciallitigation matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Representclients in all stages of litigation, from initiation to resolution,in both state and federal courts. 2. Conduct in-depth legalresearch and analysis to support case strategies. 3. Draftpleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. 4. Conductdepositions and witness interviews, and prepare clients andwitnesses for deposition and trial. 5. Develop case strategies andlitigation plans, in consultation with partners and clients. 6.Attend court proceedings, including hearings, conferences, andtrials. 7. Negotiate settlements, where appropriate, to resolvedisputes favorably and efficiently. 8. Provide sound legal adviceto clients, based on thorough analysis and interpretation ofrelevant laws, regulations, and case law. 9. Collaborate with otherattorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficientand effective management of litigation matters. 10. Maintainup-to-date knowledge of developments in commercial litigation, andcontribute to the firm’s knowledge management and professionaldevelopment initiatives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate willpossess the following qualifications: 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degreefrom an accredited law school. 2. Admitted to practice law in thestate. 3. A minimum of 4 years of experience in commerciallitigation 4. Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writingskills. 5. Proven ability to develop and implement effectivelitigation strategies. 6. Excellent negotiation and disputeresolution skills. 7. Strong interpersonal and communicationskills, with the ability to build positive relationships withclients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. 8. High level ofprofessionalism and ethical standards. 9. Ability to workindependently and as part of a team, and to manage multiplepriorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 10.Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
