• Drafting, negotiatingand advising on various IP related agreements, including licenseagreements and development agreements.
• Counsel Fujifilm companieson patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright matters.
• Provideintellectual property training to Fujifilm companies.
• Supportlitigation by serving as liaison between litigation counsel andFujifilm companies and providing support as needed.
• Performpatent searches including patentability studies andfreedom-to-operate analysis and advise Fujifilm companies regardingpotential issues.
• Counsel inventors and management at Fujifilmcompanies on new patent filings and work with outside patentcounsel to prepare and file necessary documents.
• Review officeactions and other correspondence from the patent office and serveas a liaison between outside patent counsel and companies inresponding to such correspondence.
• Support trademark preparation,prosecution and clearances.
• Keep abreast of new legislation anddevelopments in the field of intellectual property.
• Perform otherduties as assigned. Required Skills/Education
• Admittance in goodstanding to at least one state bar (NY Preferred)
• Admittance topractice before USPTO (Patent Bar)
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degreefrom an accredited law school
• Bachelor Degree in a technicaldiscipline, Electrical, Chemical, or Biotechnology background ispreferred. Desired Skills
