They are seeking anexperienced Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Attorney with substantialtrial experience to join their dedicated legal team.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Case Management:

    Handle a caseload of medicalmalpractice cases from intake through trial, includinginvestigation, discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations

  • Trial Advocacy:

    Serve as lead or co-counsel in courtroom trials,delivering persuasive arguments, conducting direct andcross-examinations, and working closely with clients and expertwitnesses. Prepare and execute comprehensive trial strategies tosecure favorable verdicts for plaintiffs.

Client Representation:

Meet with clients to assess claims, provide legal counsel, andmanage client relationships throughout the litigation process.

Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informedon case progress and strategy.

  • Legal Research & Writing:

    Draftpleadings, motions, and legal briefs. Conduct in-depth legalresearch on medical malpractice laws and precedents to buildcompelling cases.

  • Expert Collaboration:

    Collaborate with medicalexperts to develop case theories, review medical records, andprepare expert witnesses for deposition and trial testimony. Ensurethe accuracy and relevance of expert opinions.

  • SettlementNegotiation:

    Engage in settlement discussions and mediation onbehalf of clients to negotiate fair and just compensation. Evaluatethe risks and benefits of settlement offers.

Pre-Litigation:

Conduct pre-litigation investigations, interview witnesses, andgather medical records to assess the viability of claims.•

TeamCollaboration:

Work closely with paralegals, junior attorneys, andsupport staff to manage deadlines, prepare for trial, and ensurethe highest standard of legal service.

Qualifications:

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.•

Bar Admission:

Active member in good standing of the [State] Bar.•

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff-side medicalmalpractice litigation, with substantial trial experience(first-chair or second-chair).

  • Trial Skills:

    Proven success inmanaging cases through trial, with strong oral and written advocacyskills.

  • Legal Expertise:

    In-depth knowledge of medicalmalpractice law, healthcare regulations, and understanding ofmedical terminology and procedures.

Technical Skills:

Proficientin legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and casemanagement software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expert WitnessExperience:

    Demonstrated ability to work with medical experts,including preparing and presenting expert testimony in trial.

  • Medical Knowledge:

    Familiarity with medical concepts, anatomy, andmedical standards of care.

Client-Focused:

Strong interpersonalskills with the ability to effectively manage and empathize withclients experiencing emotional distress.
