Exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Estate PlanningAttorney in Charleston, SC! Join our rapidly growing family & elderlaw firm with 15 locations across North and South Carolina. We arelooking for a professional to manage estates, trusts, wills, andelder law cases in the Charleston/Lowcountry area. Responsibilities:
  • Meet with potential clients to discuss the legal servicesprovided by the firm and offer advice on appropriate legalactions.
  • Draft legal documents, research laws, and organize meetingswith clients to establish their future plans.
  • Prioritize customer needs to ensure they receive top-levelservice, maintain regular communication, and collaborate with theClient Experience team.
  • Provide creative solutions to clients’ legal challenges byanalyzing their situations, understanding their requirements, anddeveloping a tailored strategic approach.
  • Accurately record and report time spent on hourly rate and flatfee cases promptly.
  • Travel to various offices in the area as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys to enhance yourpractice.
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 5-7 years ofexperience specializing in estate law, demonstrating a high levelof expertise in independent tasks.
  • Possessing a law license in South Carolina is mandatory, with apreference for dual licensure in North Carolina as well. Having aCELA certification would be a plus.
  • Candidates must excel in teamwork, recognizing theirresponsibilities to colleagues and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to go above and beyondare crucial qualities. Our firm prioritizes client satisfaction,necessitating a commitment to excellence from all staffmembers.
  • Effective and sensitive communication skills are anecessity.
  • Experience in estate planning, trust/estate administration,Medicaid planning, and long-term care benefits is advantageous.

Litigation experience is desirable for handling guardianship andestate litigation cases.

  • The ability to efficiently track and bill time is essential forthis role.
  • We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic andthe initiative to complete tasks independently.
  • Negotiation and communication skills are vital for success inthis position.
