Attorney Assistant General Counsel – 60017405 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Richland County, SC Job Responsibilities The agency is seeking an attorney to join the Office of General Counsel and support the program responsible for the award, administration, and oversight of State government contracts. Contracting areas include information technology, complex services, supplies and construction. Law practice areas include public contract, administrative, general government, public records and open meetings, construction, general contract and information technology, prior experience in these areas is not necessary. This position offers a stimulating practice in a collegial environment, employment stability and a benefits package associated with state government employment. Minimum and Additional Requirements A juris doctor or its equivalent from an accredited law school and at least two years of experience as a practicing attorney. Prior to employment, applicant must be a member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar Association. If you are the selected candidate, you will be required to provide an official college transcript of all higher education within thirty (30) calendar days of employment. Failure to provide the required documentation within the thirty days (30) time frame may result in termination of employment.
