Associate Attorney Oldfield Law Tennessee Knoxville, TN Job Details Full-time From $85,000 a year 23 hours ago Qualifications Law Doctoral degree Family law case experience Mid-level Doctor of Law Family law Bar 2 years Full Job Description We are a family law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee, looking for an attorney who is passionate about helping people handling adoptions, terminating parental rights, dependency and neglect, custody cases, and divorces. We prioritize both personal and professional development; however, we are seeking an experienced attorney who can immediately provide exceptional representation for our clients. You should have a proven track record of building trusted relationships with clients and be familiar with courtroom procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities:

Take ownership of a client’s case – discovery, pleadings, motions, experts, depositions, mediation, pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements. Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to manage case files. Conduct client meetings and recommend strategies. Handle division of marital assets during divorce proceedings. Attend court hearings in Knox County and surrounding counties as required.

Education and Experience:

Tennessee licensed attorney with 2+ years of experience in family law is a must. A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school is required. Active license to practice law and/or membership in state Bar. Strong knowledge of Tennessee family law.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
