What We’re Looking For :
This position is an integral member of the Loews Hotels Legal and Contract team and provides support on legal and risk management matters related to contract administration, drafting, and negotiation. These agreements are for, among other things, retail tenant leases, office tenant leases, concession agreements, equipment leases, service agreements, supply agreements, facility contracts, construction contracts, and technology contracts. This position also ensures compliance with covenants of all partnership, management, and loan agreements and that all contracts meet Loews Hotels standards of indemnity, insurance, and covenant requirements. The Contract Attorney reports to the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and will work directly with the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement, and Vendor Management.

What You’ll Do :
Responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents such as new and amendment contracts Required skill set includes exceptional legal writing, research and organizational, and a thorough understanding of the legal drafting processes Draft notifications for contract terminations and assignments Contract administration to include archiving, tracing, reviewing, notification of renewals and expirations, covenant and other compliance, certificates of insurance, and tax forms Contract Administrator of/and maintaining the electronic contract administration database Responsible for compliance with standard language for insurance, liability, and indemnity, and for tracking and documenting deviations approved by Sr. Management for reporting to audit and/or Sr. Management Advise Sourcing & Contracting team on legal language Communicate with representatives of ownership, lenders, tenants, vendors, service providers, suppliers and JV partners, as needed Liaison with Corporate Legal and Corporate Risk departments, as needed Monitor and track legal expenses Provide weekly status updates to the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement, and Vendor Management of all ongoing contracts Serve as a key liaison and coordinate with internal and external auditors, as required May be required to work varying schedules to accommodate the Company’s business needs Must be able to input and maintain a large amount of data with a high level of accuracy Required to attend all training sessions and meetings, as required Interview, select, train, establish goals & objectives, appraise, evaluate individual employee performance, determine areas of improvement or requirements for advancement, coach, counsel, and discipline team members according to Loews Hotels standards, when needed Other duties, as assigned
Your Experience Includes :
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required State Bar license to practice law required. 3+ years of law firm or in-house legal experience required Must have contract negotiation and drafting experience Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written) required Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Smartsheet, Project, Access, Outlook, and in Data Base Management, SharePoint, and related software. Knowledge of Contract Software Systems (Docusign used by Company) is preferred
