Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to support the processing of maintenance bond acceptance and release documents. This temporary position plays a key role in reviewing, compiling, and routing legal and engineering documents for approval by the County Attorney and final acceptance by the Board of County Commissioners. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with maintenance guarantee bonds related to public infrastructure or capital assets. Professionals with backgrounds in mortgage loan processing, paralegal work, or municipal permitting are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and compile engineering plans, legal documents, and maintenance bond documentation packages. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with county and state regulations. Route finalized documentation to the County Attorney’s office and assist in tracking the approval process. Prepare acceptance and release packages for submission to the Board of County Commissioners. Maintain organized records of all transactions and approvals. Communicate with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding document status and required revisions.
Qualifications:
Experience in document processing for legal, construction, permitting, or public works projects. Strong understanding of maintenance bonds, surety requirements, or capital asset dedication. High attention to detail with excellent organizational and administrative skills. Ability to manage multiple document packages and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems. Prior work experience in a government or engineering-related setting is highly desirable.
