$ 18.44-28.24 USD UPMC Altoona Regional Health Services is hiring a full-time Physician Services Support Specialist to join the team! This role will primarily work Monday – Friday daylight hours but may involve occasional evenings or weekends as needed. The Physician Services Support Specialist processes requests for physician employment and maintains a current and accurate information in the database.
Responsibilities:
Processes requests expeditiously and efficiently according to the established priorities and timeframes.
Process document edits as requested and review for accuracy and completeness.
Review the Offer Letter and Offer Letter Cover Form to ensure that information is accurate and complete.
Functions as the expert user for the software applications.
Review Physician Employment Requests
Assists with database integrity and maintenance.
Generate appropriate forms and ensure that information is accurately populated.
Manage payroll paperwork and troubleshoot payroll issues
Maintains excellent communication (verbal, written and electronic) with all customers including, but not limited to, the practitioners, practice managers & administration.
Manages the process for follow up for offer process and reappointment packets received incomplete.
Works closely and builds relationships with the Departments and physicians to assist them with paperwork as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years work experience required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred. For candidates without a degree, relevant healthcare or recruitment experience will be preferred. Prior support experience preferred
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products
Strong communication skills, ability to manage and prioritize large projects and meet scheduled timelines and deadlines.
