Toney, Alabama job type: Contract salary: $62.22 – 93.33 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Serve as a Site Loss Control Specialist for construction safety on the Design, Engineering, and Construction (DEC) team. Support and ensure success of the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). Perform risk assessments for all construction-related tasks. Collaborate with project teams and contractors to ensure a zero-incident environment. Guide teams on implementing effective on-site safety practices. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action reporting. Assist with on-site training to improve safety efforts. Maintain cross-functional relationships to foster collaboration and safety. Integrate into construction sequences to support best-in-class safety performance. Work effectively within an OCIP framework.
Skills:
Familiarity with OCIP environments. Experience developing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs. strong collaboration skills with internal teams and contractors. Knowledge of technical electrical/mechanical systems in data center construction. Understanding of fast-track design-build projects and construction contracts. Experience in both greenfield (new build) and retrofit (live site) construction projects.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a dedicated construction safety role. CSP or CHST certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
