Job Responsibilities:
Loss Prevention :

Develop and implement loss prevention strategies across the transportation network. Monitor and analyze incidents of loss and damage within transportation operations. Monitor data for patterns of loss, theft, or service failures (e.g., high loss rates with certain routes, drivers, or types of shipments). Analyze delivery logs and GPS tracking data to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies that could point to fraud, miss delivery, or improper handling of packages. Recommend and implement technologies (e.g., tracking systems, security cameras, or real-time alerts) to improve oversight and prevent losses. Work with safety and operations teams to identify gaps in operational procedures or courier behavior that may lead to losses or service failures.

Risk Management :

Identify potential risks associated with transportation operations, including driver behavior, accidents, and safety compliance, with a strong focus on enhancing the preparation of new drivers. Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure that new drivers receive comprehensive training on industry regulations and best practices. This collaboration will help mitigate liability risks by ensuring that all drivers, especially those newly onboarded, understand their responsibilities and the safety protocols necessary to reduce service-related issues and improve compliance. Assess operational risks related to both experienced and new drivers. By developing targeted mitigation plans for new drivers, such as additional coaching or monitoring during their first few weeks, we can address and reduce the likelihood of incidents, ultimately leading to safer driving behaviors and fewer accidents.

Driver Relations :

Foster positive relationships and provide ongoing support to drivers, offering guidance on company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Mediate issues involving drivers, including complaints about pay, route assignments, or working conditions, and work toward a satisfactory resolution for all parties. Assist with the onboarding process for new drivers, ensuring they understand company policies, safety expectations, and operational procedures. Help coordinate ongoing training or refresher courses to keep drivers updated on industry changes and regulations. Handle any disputes or issues between drivers and the company, working to resolve conflicts fairly and promptly. Ensure that any complaints or issues are properly documented and communicated to the relevant departments for further action. Work with dispatch or operations teams to optimize routes and schedules, considering drivers’ feedback to make improvements.

Investigation & Reporting :

Investigate service failures or any incidents leading to loss or damage. Collect and document evidence, including photographs, videos, delivery records, and any other materials that can help clarify the facts surrounding the incident. Document investigations thoroughly and prepare detailed reports on findings, including root causes and preventive measures. Work with management to implement corrective actions and ensure follow-through on risk mitigation initiatives. Conduct investigations into service failures or incidents involving drivers and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Training and Education :

Organize orientation sessions to introduce new couriers to company culture, expectations, and tools they will need in their roles. Final verification that the courier understands the company’s expectations, delivery protocols, safety standards, and how to use the tools or technologies required (e.g., delivery apps, GPS, tracking systems).
