Job Description

Purpose:

The Dispute Resolution and Fraud Specialist will assist with various efforts to protect the assets of Floor & Decor by responding quickly and appropriately to chargebacks and other disputes, assisting stores in ongoing loss prevention efforts, and assisting with other Treasury Operations tasks as needed. The Dispute Resolution and Fraud Specialist will work alongside Treasury Operations, Store Operations, IT, and Safety & Asset Protection to ensure all efforts are made to mitigate bad debt loss. The scope of this role includes carrying out effective and efficient processes and audits in order to identify, respond to, and limit potential losses. The Dispute Resolution and Fraud Specialist will also assist members of the Treasury Operations team in various projects and tasks, as assigned. Other duties and projects may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Bachelors in Business, Finance, Criminal justice, or other relevant field Sense of ownership, urgency, and diligence towards the prevention and collection bad debt Strong analytical skills and the desire to identify areas of opportunity Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the company Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively while remaining tactful and courteous Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Detail oriented and highly organized Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment Self-starter with strong desire to succeed

Essential Job Functions:

Actively work all open payment disputes and chargebacks Provide first action to all chargeback requests within 24-hours of receipt Enter data and information regarding customer claims into standardized format Work to facilitate communication between customer, store and claims department as needed Serve as mediator between multiple involved parties in an effort to come to a resolution for customer disputes Compile and compose findings into response to be provided back to bank or other entity Escalation to the Fraud Strategy Management team, as necessary Manage daily processes related to returned checks, including entering claims and tracking aged claims Use reports and analytics to identify patterns which may indicate areas of opportunity for the company or may require further investigation: Identify high-risk activities & processes and work with the Fraud Strategy Management Team to eliminate or mitigate these Identify associate/transaction/customer patterns that require additional research Initial screening of high-risk transactions as needed to prevent potential losses in both retail and eCommerce environments Assist with other Treasury Operations tasks and projects as needed W orking Conditions (travel & environment) Limited travel required including air and car travel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 – 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
