Join Casey’s as a DC Asset Protection Specialist! The DC Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for developing inventory and total loss controls and ensuring controls are in place and operating effectively. This role involves conducting investigations and implementing controls around total loss, safety, and inventory. The DC Asset Protection Specialist will oversee DC Inventory Specialists and DC Asset Protection Team Members, ensuring alignment with asset protection goals and achievement of Total Loss targets. Additionally, this role is accountable for fostering strong, collaborative relationships with the DC Leadership team to ensure alignment on operational priorities and continuous improvement in loss prevention efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values. Oversee physical security of the facility, including monitoring and managing guard shack operations. Ensure safety and security of the truck lot and all assets within the facility. Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures. Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft, loss, or damage. Develop and implement controls to minimize Total Loss and enhance safety. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations. Ensure SOX compliance for inventory controls. Work closely with Inventory Specialists to ensure controls are operating effectively. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to prevent loss and ensure accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits. Monitor Total Loss reporting/KPIs to ensure total loss goals are achieved. Ensure Asset Protection Team Members are effectively managing safety, physical security, guard shack operations, asset protection investigations, total loss controls, and inventory controls. Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
Starting pay range: $63,100 - $82,800. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience. At least three years of experience in Asset Protection or a related field. Knowledge of public safety and security strategies to promote effective, secure operations. Knowledge of environmental health and safety standards and strategies. Understanding of asset protection policies, procedures, and regulations. Familiarity with inventory control procedures and best practices. Awareness of issues in safeguarding building and grounds and the procedures to address them. Required to attend and complete ongoing de-escalation and intervention training to maintain skill and remain current on compliance matters. Must have certification in security management or asset protection, or ability to complete within 60 days. Strong investigative skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and implement effective security and loss prevention strategies. Efficient with MS Products (Excel, Power BI).
