Protects Memphis Goodwill, Inc. (MGI), Memphis Goodwill Industries (MGII) and Goodwill Excel Center (GEC) assets and interests, thereby lowering expenses to further the mission.

Function:

Under the general leadership of the Loss Prevention, Risk & Safety Manager; the Loss Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for managing, administrating, and implementing loss prevention programs and security controls that eliminate risk and loss.

Essential Responsibilities:

Communicates, trains, and educates loss prevention programs and strategies. Create, train, and assess loss prevention protection strategies to determine effectiveness and make necessary changes when applicable to the needs of the business. Assist with Titled Goods Conduct audits (salvage, New Goods, & E-Commerce) Monitor E-commerce refund log for discrepancies Obtain vehicle titles Monitor team member auctions Secure picture of vehicles/donations that will be posted for auction Create narrative for items being sold Assist LP Manager as needed Conduct site visits to ensure loss prevention strategies and training are adhered to through audit and or inspection and communicate findings to respective leadership. Partners with operational leadership and reviews audit/inspection tools to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks. Prepares audits and reports in a timely fashion for review and distribution. Utilize all reports available to identify trends in internal and external theft. Conduct is in compliance with our Core Values and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of and uses discretion in dealing with sensitive or controversial issues and information. Partners with stake holders/ different appropriate department leaders and manages process to ensure that all open cases are closed timely. Monitors Digital Video Recording at designated facilities and communicates operational/placement/quality issues. Respond and assist to all critical incidents and emergency response situations including communication, problem solving, and remediation. Partners with operational leadership and reviews loss prevention case trends to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years in Loss Prevention experience, retail experience preferred A Minimum 2 years’ experience in CCTV, Burglar, Fire alarm Maintenance/Monitoring technical skills Bachelor’s degree, preferred

Training & Experience:

Experience utilizing closed-circuit television (CCTV) Communication skills necessary to guide and direct others, influence change, resolve conflict, and effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization. Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment. Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, brokers, carriers, vendors, and clients. Analytical skills necessary to define and identify risks, collect data, establish facts, and provide valid conclusions. Ability to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions under general direction. Ability to produce reports or presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes. Maintain accurate information and efficient record keeping system. Ability to conduct audits and investigations. Knowledge of and ability to interpret related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. Must be able to present and lead instructor led training to a group of people at a time. Incumbents must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout territory to visit locations. Ability to bend, reach and stand, and lift up to twenty-five pounds on an occasional basis. Critical Performance Factors CCTV system is maintained for clarity and function (95%) or current activity report up to date All cases must be 100% closed or journal entries must be current Site and systems assessment audits are completed monthly & non-compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner
