Legal Assistant Temp Experts Daphne, AL 36526 Legal Assistant Daphne Direct Hire TempExperts is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented legal assistant to support multiple attorneys in a dynamic civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate should be able to type at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to several attorneys Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and external partners Transcribe legal dictations accurately Draft and file legal documents (appeals, motions, petitions) in state and federal courts Open and manage case files, including performing conflict checks and preparing engagement letters Record attorney hours using billing software Maintain and update attorney calendars Manage case lists and generate monthly reports in Excel Create presentations using PowerPoint Track multiple deadlines and proactively issue reminders to ensure timely completion
Qualifications:
Strong transcription skills Proficient in state and federal e-filing procedures Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures Excellent time management and fast, accurate typing skills Ability to perform under pressure in a busy work environment
