Currently, we have a Bankruptcy Paralegal opportunity with a reputable law firm specializing in representing financial institutions, investors, title insurers, housing authorities, and select businesses in mortgage banking, title services, and real estate finance. The Bankruptcy Paralegal is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

Take appropriate and timely action upon receipt of attorney and client inquiries and internal requests/instructions regarding cases, drafting of pleadings, and other applicable requests. Receive and resolve phone calls from borrowers, investors, other law firms, and clients. Understand the legal process and assist with drafting documents for attorney edit/review. Support legal surplus disbursement, unlawful detainers, evictions/ejectments, and other legal matters. Update and monitor client systems with accurate and timely information. Specific qualifications for the position include : High school diploma or equivalent. Background in litigation or law firm preferred. Proven Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience. Strong communication etiquette (verbal and writte. Detail-oriented with critical thinking abilities.

Preferred:

Experience with mortgage default industry platforms (LPS/Tempo). Real estate closing experience is a big plus.

Pay Rate Range :

$20.00 – $27.00 per hour Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
