The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing client communications.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing files. 2. Draft and proofread legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts. 3. Assist in the preparation of cases for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings. 4. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters. 5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case information and documentation. 6. File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies as required. 7. Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and other appointments for attorneys. 8. Assist in the preparation of billing statements and invoices for clients. 9. Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field preferred. 2. Minimum 3 year’s experience working as a legal assistant in a mid-size law firm. 3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools. 6. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 7. Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. 8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. 10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
