Senior Paralegal – Hartford, CT
Onsite in Hartford, CT – 100% Join our dynamic team as a Senior Paralegal in Hartford, CT! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact in a firm renowned in the legal industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in all phases of discovery, including preparing discovery responses and requests, scheduling depositions, and maintaining regular communication with defense and/or co-counsel.
Draft routine notices, affidavits, motions, and summonses, and finalize these documents.
Compile and analyze reports for attorneys, detailing the status of cases.
Organize documents and client databases, including coding, indexing, and maintaining a history of documents produced and received.
Assist in initial client interviews and case investigations.
Conduct legal research on case law using various libraries, databases, and online facilities.
Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
Minimum of five years of paralegal work experience.
Civil litigation experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency with MS Suite, including Word and Excel.
Experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity is preferred.
Highly organized and able to work well within a team environment. Please note that this role may require more than 40 hours per week and occasional travel. The work is performed in a normal heated and/or air-conditioned office environment. Overtime may be expected to perform the essential functions of the position.
