This in-person role (with some hybrid work allowed) requires a highly skilled professional with at least 10 years of experience working as a probate paralegal in an established law firm. The ideal candidate will work directly with Attorney Mark A. Healey, supporting our probate clients with diligence, care, and expertise. Responsibilities Manage probate cases from inception to closure, ensuring compliance with Connecticut probate law and court deadlines. Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, motions, and correspondence. Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, court personnel, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information. Coordinate and prepare for court hearings and legal proceedings. Conduct legal research and maintain thorough case documentation. Prepare financial reports, estate plans, and other legal documents as needed. Maintain accurate, organized case files and provide updates to the legal team. Assist with general administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management. Qualifications Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a probate paralegal in a law firm. Comprehensive knowledge of Connecticut probate processes, legal terminology, and court procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases. Proficiency with legal research tools and document management software. Professional demeanor with a client-focused and team-oriented approach. Reside in the New Haven area with the ability to work in-person Monday through Friday (with hybrid work flexibility, 1-2 days/week). About Us The Law Office of Mark A.
