Paralegal Littleton Joyce Ughetta & Kelly Merritt Island, FL 32953 Littleton Joyce Ughetta & Kelly LLP, a mid-sized, national law firm with a diverse complex litigation practice is in search of a paralegal to provide attorneys with support and overall case management in all stages of the litigation process from onset of a case through discovery, trial, and appeals in our Merritt Island, FL office. - Able to interact with all levels of legal staff and personnel, including management and support staff
- Team-oriented and able to work in a multi-office environment
- Excellent attention to detail and able to follow up and follow through
- Quick learner, tech savvy, strong organizational, writing and communications skills. Duties
- Perform daily case management duties, including maintaining and organizing case correspondence, pleadings, discovery, expert materials, and client documents;
- Assist with deposition, hearing, and trial preparation;
- Assist with e-discovery;
- Collaborate with internal resources and external vendors to prepare and serve document productions and logs;
- Prepare and organize exhibits to motions, pleadings, reports, correspondence, etc.;
- Process and track medical record/employment/social security/FOIA requests;
- Prepare medical chronologies;
- Electronic filing with state and federal courts;
- Prepare trial exhibits;
- Handle additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Fundamental to advanced knowledge of relevant jurisdictional/court/agency processes and procedures, including knowledge of Federal and State court practices, local rules, and deadlines.
- Highly proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fundamental proficiency with Relativity or other similar E-discovery review platforms as well as FTP and Fileshare platforms.
- Fundamental proficiency in Lexis Nexis/Westlaw and other internet search resources
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required.
