Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate BI Litigation Legal Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys handling personal injury cases. As the newest addition to our team, the legal assistant will play a pivotal role in keeping the office functioning efficiently, from coordinating meetings to maintaining complete and accurate files. This person will build collaborative working relationships with our lawyers and earn the trust of our clients. The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team. This is a challenging role with varied responsibilities and meaningful opportunities for career advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents such as lawsuits and demand letters. Respond to client inquiries, provide updates on case progress, and address client concerns. Schedule depositions, hearings, inspections, meetings, telephone conferences, deadlines. Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and affidavits. Manage firm and attorney calendars. Manage electronic filings- incoming and outgoing (ePortal, eService, DFS, JAWS, JACKS, CM/ECF).

Qualifications:

Customer service skills. Team player, works well with others in a group setting. Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Minimum of 1 year of experience or in-house legal experience. Proficient in MS Office.

Schedule:

This position is ON-SITE in our Fort. Lauderdale office, with no remote/ hybrid schedule. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, 8:30am-5:30pm
