Our amazing team makes a difference in people’s lives by helping seniors and those with special needs protect their assets and qualify for Medicaid to help meet the exorbitant cost of long-term care; helping people of all ages get their legal and financial affairs in order through proper estate planning; helping families obtain guardianship for loved ones when needed due to lack of capacity; and probating estates. Role Description Do you love helping people? Do you hate typos and have laser sharp attention to detail? Do you have experience in a law office? Are you extremely organized and comfortable with technology? Then this in-office role located in Plantation, FL is for you. The newest addition to our team will: Manage cases from start to finish Manage calendars and deadlines Organize and maintain digital legal files and documents Communicate with clients via phone and email in a professional and empathetic manner Draft correspondence Gather information from clients Enter information into software E-file documents in the court system E-record documents in the public records system Communicate with government agencies Assist with document preparation, including drafting and editing legal documents Perform general clerical duties such as answering phone calls, taking messages, copying and scanning Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings Assist with document review, analysis and assembly Qualifications Previous experience working in a law office is mandatory Familiarity with the practice areas of elder law, estate planning, probate and guardianship Proficiency with Onedrive, Adobe Pro and Microsoft 365 Extremely organized and detail-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Kind, empathetic and friendly demeanor with clients Experience with e-filing, e-recording, scheduling and using a CRM We offer a great work environment, flexible schedule and competitive pay.
