Medical Malpractice Bilingual Legal Assistant The Leeder Law Team is seeking to hire a talented Bilingual Legal Assistant in the area of Medical Malpractice. This is a litigation practice involving case management to include calendaring, pleadings, discovery, mediation and trial preparation and support. Highly important within this role is providing excellent service for and to our clients – this includes everything from being the first point of contact if they have any questions, helping them schedule inspections and other meetings, and providing updates on their case. This individual will be responsible for performing pre-suit investigations of facilities, ordering, reviewing and organizing medical records, legal intake, drafting pleadings and discovery responses, providing support during arbitration and trial, tracking cases, moving them forward in the process and monitoring them, tracking projects, maintaining files, scheduling hearings, depositions and mediations, communicating with opposing counsel and expert witnesses within the health care industry, and coordinating attorney schedules. More information about our ideal candidate: At least 2+ years as a legal assistant is required. This should be in personal injury, nursing home litigation, medical malpractice, or a related field. Proven track record of success in a high volume, fast paced environment. Has experience in all phases of a personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation practice. Possesses the organizational skills required to maintain a high level of accuracy. Enjoys providing the highest level of service to clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); FileVine; Teams; AdobePro; Zoom Platform. Must have very good written and communication skills. Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be highly detail oriented and can multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required .
