Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a boutique law firm specializing in commercial real estate litigation in Hollywood, Florida. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys with significant expertise, assisting with case management, scheduling, and client coordination. The firm offers a collaborative environment with unique perks, such as daily lunches and a hybrid work schedule that transitions to fully remote after training. Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with commercial real estate litigation cases, including evictions, foreclosures, and title disputes.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings with external counsel, ensuring smooth scheduling and logistics.
- Prepare and manage notices of hearings, court filings, and client communications.
- Maintain and update calendars to ensure deadlines and appointments are accurately tracked.
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and relevant documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, primarily business professionals, to address their needs and concerns.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks, including managing correspondence and uploading documents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
- Participate in firm activities and initiatives, fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in commercial real estate litigation.
- Proficiency in legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management tools.
- Familiarity with systems like Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and CompuLaw.
- Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of title insurance processes and business dispute resolution.
- A collaborative and detail-oriented demeanor, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
