We’re hiring a detail-oriented and highly organized Family LawParalegal to support our legal team in all aspects of casepreparation, and to assist our attorneys with drafting, filingmotions, interacting closely with clients, and preparing forhearings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding oflegal procedures, excellent communication skills, and the abilityto work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and draft family law documents, including petitions,responses, discovery requests/responses, declarations, financialdisclosures, and settlement agreements.
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of the litigation process,including discovery, pre-trial preparation, trial support, andpost-trial procedures.
  • File legal documents with family courts (e-filing and physicalfiling).
  • Maintain case files and calendars, ensuring deadlines aretracked and met.
  • Ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate,and perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Schedule court hearings, mediations, and appointments.
  • Draft correspondence to opposing counsel, courts, andclients.
  • Perform legal research as needed for case development.
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, and appointments related to legalcases.
  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 + years of experience as a paralegal in familylaw.
  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with local, state, legal terminology, court rules,and federal family law court procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software(e.g., Rocketmatter, Family Law Software, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, manage a high-volume caseload, and workindependently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy when dealing withsensitive client matters to fit our work culture.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with legal billing or time tracking.
  • Notary Public (optional but beneficial).
