TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Paralegal IV in Atlanta, GA. Responsible for supporting the TKE Legal Department primarily in all phases of litigation along with corporate transactions and record keeping. This role requires collaboration with internal attorneys, external counsel, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient case management, meticulous document preparation, and adherence to legal procedures and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Possess an understanding and execution of various litigation “lifecycle” (from inception through resolution) tasks. Develops and maintains a litigation management system for the purpose of tracking the assignment of new and pending matters to TKE’s insurers and outside counsel. Tracks court dates and all other time-sensitive deadlines ensuring that all matters and tasks are timely captured, updated and addressed by TKE’s internal counsel while, at the same time, ensuring compliance with retention policies. Responds to insurer information requests. Creates, disseminates and tracks responses to legal hold requests. Maintains open and transparent relationships with TKE personnel also inclusive of internal and external counsel to identify witnesses and documents responsive to subpoenas and discovery requests. Secures such documents and prepares responses for review and approval by TKE attorneys. Conducts research regarding a variety of topics including, but not limited to, the assigned judge and opposing counsel and provides recommendations for review and approval. Creates and maintains standard legal forms/templates file; Drafts and maintains standard meeting minutes and resolutions for portfolio of companies. Creates, updates and maintains physical and online corporate books. Drafts responses to regulatory, due diligence, and “Know Your Customer” requests which may require interaction with government, financial, and other business entities. Supports transaction closings by securing corporate signatures on various documents and arranging for delivery of key documents to multiple parties involved in business transaction. Reviews and responds to standard non-disclosure agreements and revisions. Maintains document management system for retention and retrieval of business contracts Reviews invoices from external counsel and other legal department vendors and tracks same against budgets. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or Related Field; Paralegal Certificate is preferred; Minimum 8-10 years as a paralegal; in-house experience is preferred; Familiarity with a broad range of legal practice areas is preferred, including litigation, employment law, corporate transactions, corporate procedures and record keeping, and commercial real estate. Has exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities; Is proficient in litigation legal processes and settings (e.g., arbitrations, trials), e-discovery and other case management tools and systems; Has worked extensively with online document and other record keeping tools; Has experience discussing legal matters and issues with business stakeholders, including C-suite members; Works well independently; Able to learn different areas of legal practice based on needs of the legal department; Is knowledgeable about and has understanding of confidentiality and ethics standards and best practices.
