Job Description

Trust & Estates Paralegal 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Naples, FL 34104 We are seeking an experienced Estate and Trust Paralegal to join a multi-faceted legal firm in Naples, FL. Estate and Trust Paralegal candidates must have experience handling probate and trust administration for high-net-worth clients. Preference will be given to those who are Florida Registered Paralegals or who meet the eligibility requirements for registration.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of probate and trust administration, including the collection of asset information and coordination of third-party communications. Prepare and draft court pleadings, legal documents, and administration paperwork in a timely manner. Oversee important filing and court deadlines to ensure smooth estate and trust settlements. Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties. Assist with the preparation of estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and fiduciary income tax returns. Handle Florida probate and trust administrations as well as multijurisdictional estates involving federal estate tax issues.

Required Skills:

5+ years’ experience required Florida Registered Paralegal status or eligibility strongly preferred. Significant experience with estate and trust administration for high-net-worth individuals. Background in preparing wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, and other estate planning documents. Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple complex matters simultaneously. Knowledge of Florida-specific probate and trust laws. Experience managing estates requiring federal estate tax returns across different jurisdictions. Technologically savvy, with the ability to adapt to various case management and document software systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interactions. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with attorneys and team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and estate tax software such as GEMS, ProSystems fx, or similar fiduciary accounting programs.
