A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced, full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to join its team in Jacksonville, FL. Candidates must have prior secretarial or administrative experience in consumer bankruptcy to be considered. This role involves performing a variety of advanced administrative functions that require a solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and filing legal documents, managing attorney calendars, and coordinating logistics for meetings and travel. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a legal environment, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word. The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting is essential. Key Qualifications:
Consumer bankruptcy experience is required; familiarity with state court procedures is a strong plus Minimum of two years’ experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of electronic filing procedures across district, state, and federal courts Associate s degree or a comparable combination of education, training, and relevant experience Proficient in Microsoft Word and capable of typing 50+ words per minute Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism under pressure Works well both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of legal language and documentation standards salary: $55,000•$60,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8:30 AM•5
