Moore Ingram Johnson and Steele, LLP is a full service 90 lawyer A.V. rated firm based out of Marietta, GA with 8 locations across the southeastern United States. We are looking for a self-motivated legal assistant who is interested in learning in a great teaching environment with great opportunity for advancement in our Marietta office. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of a senior legal assistant. Our ideal candidate is reliable, responsible, eager to learn! Responsibilities Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness Draft and submit Worker’s Comp Board forms Communicate with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and others via telephone, email, and written correspondence Prioritize and organize daily tasks and duties to meet client and firm deadlines Schedule meetings, conference calls, appointments, depositions, mediations Monitor deadlines and coordinate calendars Assist with large document production Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Skills Looking for someone who has a desire to learn the legal assistant role or in school to earn their paralegal degree. Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office Computer literacy Working knowledge of case management software – Time Matters experience is a plus Excellent secretarial and organizational skills Ability to coordinate multiple activities and work under pressure Experience with editing, revising, and drafting of legal documents Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills If you are interested in a rewarding career with growth opportunities at an outstanding law firm, please apply today!
