The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional Florida Personal Injury Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal with a strong understanding of legal procedures for medical malpractice in Florida, excellent organizational abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail. This role will provide crucial support to the attorneys at our client’s firm. This position is in in-office (remote not available).
Responsibilities:
Drafting and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, and correspondence. Organizing and maintaining case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. E-filing documents with state and federal courts. Managing and tracking deadlines, court dates, other critical timelines, scheduling depositions, hearings, etc. Communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other relevant parties. Trial experience (including attending trials), assisting attorneys in trial preparation including organizing exhibits, preparing witness files, and coordinating logistics. Assisting with legal research. Maintaining confidentiality of client information and firm matters. Performing administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team. Staying up-to-date on relevant changes in laws and legal procedures.

Paralegal certification (e.g., Certified Paralegal (CP), Registered Paralegal (RP)) is preferred. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and local court rules is a plus. Notary not required or needed.
