Litigation Paralegal HD Law Partners Tampa, FL 33607 Job Overview HD Law Partners, an established, diversified multiple-office, Tampa-based civil litigation practice, is looking for a litigation paralegal experienced in the areas of business, first- and third-party property defense and insurance litigation for our Tampa office. The ideal candidates must have prior experience in insurance defense/personal injury litigation, bodily injury homeowners/property and/or general liability litigation, preferred. Prior experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills is also preferred. Familiarity with Aderant/Client Profiles is a plus. Experience with keeping time is preferred but not necessary. Must be competent and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word/Microsoft Office. The ideal applicant should demonstrate a superior level of working collegiately with others and communicating effectively. Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures and Florida’s e-filing system is preferred. The candidate must be organized and exhibit a desire to excel/work towards long term career goals. Job duties include summarizing records, bills and supporting documents, creating medical chronologies and billing matrixes, preparing correspondence to clients, managing internal and court mandated deadlines, preparing hearing and trial binders, scheduling depositions, working with experts, and e-filing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or a related field. Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in litigation. Strong knowledge of insurance defense/personal injury litigation, bodily injury homeowners/property and/or general liability litigation is highly desirable. Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw. Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents. Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with legal software applications such as Aderant Total Office is a plus.
