The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury/civil litigation, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and motions Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case investigation, document review, and trial preparation Organize and manage case files, exhibits, medical records, and other evidence Coordinate and track service of process and filings with courts (state and federal) Prepare case chronologies and timelines for attorney review Manage discovery process, including assembling, indexing, and producing responsive documents Assist with the preparation of witnesses, experts, and trial exhibits Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and other proceedings Maintain client contact to obtain factual information and status updates Manage deadlines and maintain accurate docketing and calendaring
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and rules of civil procedure (state and federal) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software (e.g., Aderant/Total Office a bonus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Familiarity with medical records and billing preferred
