Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Office Manager / Paralegal. This hybrid role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced small firm setting and is comfortable managing both legal and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management Duties:
Oversee day-to-day administrative operations and ensure office efficiencyManage HROversee accounts payable and receivable; coordinate with outside accountantMaintain vendor relationshipsSupport onboarding and offboarding of staffEnsure adherence to firm policies and procedures
Paralegal Duties:
Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents including pleadings, basic motions and correspondenceConduct legal researchE-file documents with state and federal courts (e-Portal, PACER)Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlinesLiaise with clients, bar counsel, and court officialsProvide litigation and administrative support to attorneys
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in a law firm environment; experience in both office management and paralegal roles strongly preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office and WestLawExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriatelyFamiliarity with court procedures and electronic filing systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related fieldBackground in HR or bookkeeping
